Manoranjan Pati

Manu Gain, as we called him was a man with love for all of us. He underwent surgery for his prostate on 26th October in a private hospital in Cuttack and passed away today morning(28th October 2008-DEEPABALI) around 8 AM in a massive heart attack. A man who married Niyati's elder sister Sunya Nani long back simply had too much of love for many of his relations. With a very down to earth attitude from a very humble background, Manu Gain & Sunya Nani made Babula, Kati, Bapi, Mita, Munna and Papu what they are today. Superannuating from Government job almost 2 decades ago, Gain was going strong until 2 years back when he had a stroke. A lover of food and impeccable white dhoti & kurta, Manu Gain remains at large with his tall lanky and hand some figure in many minds. The last 2 years saw him quite often in confused states as a result of the stroke. But one thing that struck us was his love for all even during and after the stroke. His fancy for good and tasty hilsas, the salty snacks and sweets from Mahi will always be remembered by many who will visit the Patis at Balasore. Despite the meager means that he could afford during his service career and later, he has enjoyed his life never ever regretting anything.May his soul rest in peace and may God keep him as a star in his heavenly abode.

Milan's B'day

He was with us in November 2007- for his love towards Mama and Nee'na.

Swami Bhumananda

This 95 year old ascetic who still refuses to hold any assistive device while walking used to be my elder sister's father-in-law some two decades ago. Based at the Arya Samaj Ashram in Vedvyas, Rourkela, we are fortunate to have his presence at our place for a couple of days some 3-4 times a year. A great soul he has always blessed us all and particularly Mama.
