We arrived in Balasore on 10th July night at 10 40 PM. The Cape Express which leaves Bhubaneswar at 7 10 PM and has its next stoppage at Balasore takes more than 3 hour 40 min to reach Balasore. Added to it, there was no power in Bateswar or Puja Ghar in Banka Khejur. Chhua Nana and Bhauja were with Lipi in Mumbai and the only saving grace was the inverter in Bateswar. Mili came with us from Puja Ghar and somehow we got asleep. The power touched us the next day after 2 PM and on 11th evening Niyati had viral fever which was prevalant in pandemic proportion. Santu Nani was already suffering. On 11th Niyati had viral fever and the next day on 12th Prema Nani got affected. On 13th we visited Bhala Nani and there everyone except Ipu had viral fever and when we left Balasore at 4 PM on 13th Nirad Nani had already having severe bodiache. The irregular power and severe humidity made this visit a negatively memorable one. Added to that there is no direct rail link from Balasore to Rourkela since May 2010 and we had to come via Cuttack where Muna was away at Puri attending a reception and Ananga Bhaina didn't turn up.
